    No problem. That's what this board is for. Too bad everyone doesn't do it though. My mechanic replaced the old ball joint with one that has a grease fitting which is nice. It cost $100 to get it fixed and well worth it. Just wished I had done it 6 months ago!

    Finally a diagnosis! Took my Explorer to have it looked at and turned out all the noise was coming from a worn out ball joint. Congratulations IZwack! You know your stuff!

    I also have been hearing a grinding or squeeking noise coming from my front end for quite some time now. I have a '00 AWD and the noise is pretty bad.
