I don´t know Dear TPLYNCH, to be honest: I have no idea - the oil was always changed by the ford dealer. They use Castrol Oil and Motorcraft Filters.

Sorry, I think you are right and I was wrong! Here in Germany there are other warranties. I hope they will cover this problem, too. I will contact my Ford dealer asap. However, do you know, what might happen, if I do not fix this problem? Is it just a matter of noise or can something serious...
