The truck was running when I pulled the plugs and wires. When I was finished, I hit the key and the ICM was a direct short. Hope it was coincidental. have since replaced the ICM and truck runs fine.....for now.
Hello everyone-
I just did plugs and wires on my 86 2.9l v6 and burned the ICM apparently. It is now a direct short. This module was a used part I installed 2 months ago.
How did this happen? Any ideas? I'm no mechanic but I thought I could change out my plugs and wires as I have before....:(
