    Seafoam Hype?

Do a search in the forum there are many write ups on using this product. You can just dump it in your gas tank, or suck it with through intake manifold vacuum (use the hose that attaches to the pvc valve) I have not heard of any negative effect aside from fouling the spark plugs in some...

    Seafoam Hype?

My 98 smoked an incredible amount (see write up in seafoam sticky) and then ran much better. The idle was rough after and I still had some hesitation so I inspected the plugs. They looked worn but pretty clean, I will replace them this weekend, but I cleaned and regapped then assured the plug...

Any difference between Autolite and Motocraft? I believe that both are Ford products, but I rarely see Autolite mentioned.

Hmm, debris in the tank?, Go figure. :D

    engine dies while braking downhill

That sounds plausible as well. I would probably pursue the water/debris angle in the fuel system if your fuel level is adequate. You could try some Seafoam or similar product in your tank to remove accumulated condensation, etc. And if that doesn't work, replace the fuel filter. If it isn't one...

    engine dies while braking downhill

It's a downhill struggle Look at your fuel tank. I think the pick up is in the rear of the tank Is your tank low on fuel? Could there be water or debris in your tank? I had an experience where with a fuel tank that was low, I parked in a spot that had my nose pointing down hill that I had to...

    PCV valve, Sea-Foam and Tune-Up for 1999 Explorer 302 AWD V8 302 8 cylinder

Seafoam OMG Yesterday I replaced my PCV and infused a can of Seafoam. I had read all of the posted accounts about the billows of smoke produced, but I (nor the people in a 2 square mile area around my home) were quite ready for this. I didn't notice the smoke as I was infusing the Seafoam due...

New Member Just Purchased 1998 XLT

    1. Does the ex continue to bounce after bumps? If not probably not shocks, they act as much as spring dampeners to prevent bobbing on the springs as for reducing deflection of the springs. Perhaps just a lube/replacement of the bushings if needed would solve the mystery squeak. 2. It is...

Blend Door- Where to cut HVAC Plenum?

Hi all. Do we have a consensus on where the best place to cut the HVAC Plenum is? Is it better to cut the bottom (side facing the floor) if so what landmarks would you use to make your cuts? Is it the "front" the side facing the passenger compartment? Again what would you use to guide your cut...
