    Power door locks unlock themselves.

I think I owe someone an apology, it WILL lock and unlock the doors from INSIDE her building. I figured with everything in between there's no possible way but on the way home I went to the parking lot and called her to try, and it works. So for now we have replaced the CR2032 battery in the...

    Power door locks unlock themselves.

I don't think it's environmental. It recently underwent "surgery". The engine and tranny were goin so I did a body swap with a 98. All good except the locks unlocking (the old truck didn't have a key fob and this fob was "donated") and an evap code (probably due to moving the lines to the gas...

New Explorer And New To The Site

That's basically what I did. 10 body bolts and lift. You'll need two lifts though, one in front, one in back and make sure not to buckle the front door frames. Of course disconnect everything and you may end up swapping out all the wiring. Take ya a couple weeks maybe. Too bad I didn't...

New Explorer And New To The Site

Be nice if you knew someone that has a garage with a hoist. I did one but a lil different, disconnect everything you can find, drain all the fluids and disconnect it from the tranny. Remove the radiator as suggested above, give you a lot more room. As you're lifting it out go slow and make...

    Miss feeling, need help!!!

Then yes, I would try plugs and plug wires next. And make sure you check the gap, although they say "regapped" check em anyway, they're always off.

    Will MAF cause bucking

Before you replace the fuel pump, try a fuel filter. You can pick up the remove tools (plastic clips that go over the lines, slide toward the filter to disconnect it) for about $5 at any parts store. They are almost a must to get the filter loose. Be sure to put something down to catch the...

    Miss feeling, need help!!!

If it feels like it's missing when you're driving have you considered a fuel filter? Change that before you change the fuel pump.

    Power door locks unlock themselves.

I doesn't re-lock, just unlocks over and over. I thought about it being something interfering but it's happening more and more. And at different locations.

    Power door locks unlock themselves.

I'm thinkin RAP too but where is it located? It doesn't unlock all the doors until the second time it trys to unlock. It's not like when you hit unlock from the inside and it's not the key fob because it can be at home.

    Power door locks unlock themselves.

My wife’s 98 Explorer is possessed. It likes to unlock itself repeatedly. But in doing so it turns on the interior lights and kills the battery. It doesn't happen all the time and mostly when she's at work. She opened the door and manually locked it from the inside and before she can get the...

Driver's Side Door Lock is Broken

I had the same problem in my wife's 98 Explorer; it was the actual lock giving me problems. I had removed it several times and replaced it with others. I finally determined it was the yellow clip mentioned above, but moving the bar coming down from the outside handle did nothing, the lever the...
