I did replace one of them. It was clicking when I tried to start it. The mechanic says its a bad ignition switch and tumbler. Replaced the tumbler, but am unable to locate the switch. Just hoping I don't have to take the steering wheel off. I really don't have the know how or tools for that...

    Not sure what to do

Ok here is the problem, I've been having trouble getting the 92 explorer to start. Last night after much work, we finally got the check engine light to come back on (I'm sure I have a wiring problem as well as what is to come) once we did and turned the key, the fuel pump did not engage. I did...

Need help asap!! truck stuck not starting

Did you get it running yet? I noticed you are having the same problems I did. This morning, my mechanic told me to double check my 2 15 amp fuses under the hood, and sure enough, the one that was bad was for the alternator. Give it a look.

    new batter cables, no juice

Its running!!! Called my mechanic friend this morning. He told me to double check my fuses under the hood. So we pulled all the big ones, they were all fine. We pull the two 15 amp fuses at the top of the box, and sure enough, the one that was labeled for the light under the hood was blown...

    new batter cables, no juice

further testing I will have to take it up tomorrow, the two guys working tonight don't know what they are doing. I can tell you driving it around (about 8 miles) my battery went completely down. So the "new' alternator is not working. Also in driving, I used the electric windows and my tach...

    new batter cables, no juice

back to the beginning Ok, got that fixed. My brother had the wires on the relay backwards, I switched them and now it runs fine. However, we are back to the voltmeter on the dash not reading in the middle, it's just left of the n. And the battery light is on. That is what started all of...

    new batter cables, no juice

OK we ran all new battery cables, now there is no juice what so ever. So I need to know exactly what wires hook to the starter relay, and to which bolts they go. I think my brother forgot to label them and now I think that could be the problem. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

battery I have traced the positive cable to a harness that I am not sure how to remove. It seems to be a metal harness. I need to get that off and I don't know how.

    Hello

thanks! Thanks for the welcome. I am having problems finding where exactly the battery cables run to. I've taken the positive off the starter, but now I've run into a "harness" for lack of a better word, that has both the positive cable and some other group of wiring strapped together. It...
