Thanks for the info. I'm beginning to believe the 28 oz number is correct since that jives with the info for the Mazda version of this truck in 1994.

Can anyone tell me what the factory spec is for the R-134a capacity of a 1994 Ranger? The Napa oil/capacity guide which I found on another site, as well as this one lists 36oz, which seems rather high.
