I don't think they hang low.. it is just the angle of the photo. I was told they are stainless steel and would need to be specially welded.
How did you weld yours?
Well after more information searching, this is actually the dual cats on the 4.0 explorer. The cat ovals directly into the flange and this is where it popped out. Does anyone know if there is a replacement donut gasket for this?

My exhaust broke right behind what appears to be cat or pre heater. On the right side where the manifold pipe comes down (about as far back as where the passenger door is). There is a connection which is bolted. The end of the chamber has come apart from the connection. It appears oval and has...
