Serpentine Belt, Which size?
You complain about features that are entirely optional. I purchased a new car with none of those features. Next time, I suggest you do the same. I’m also very skeptical that it’s “programmed to lock up at highway speed”.- Mbrooks420

1998 Radio Wire Diagram Please?

1998 Radio Wire Diagram Please?
I don’t believe this is true. There were 4 or 5 flavors of stereos available in the 2nd Gen, and the wiring wasn’t the same between them even a year apart.- Mbrooks420

E85 people check in..
I thought to see any real gains you had to burn a lot more of it, which is why the ethanol builds use huge pumps and injectors. In a later model turbo I wouldn’t have questioned it. In an NA ‘02 I think it’s a completely different animal.- Mbrooks420

Like anything else, if you can wrench you can keep it going. I spent a few years changing wheel bearings annually in my Escape.- Mbrooks420

Choices
Depends on how expensive the bearings are and how good you are installing press in bearings. Many members here with larger tires eat up a set a year. The rear differentials are also prone to fail/be noisy.- Mbrooks420

Choices
Larger tires and a hard life would have probably had much better luck with the 5.0s. The 3rd gens will eat a set of wheel bearings fast on 33s.- Mbrooks420

Rear end water mixed in
I meant physically lifted. When I had a leaking pinion seal I could get quite a bit more fluid in if it was jacked up to one side.- Mbrooks420

Rear end water mixed in
Probably water intrusion just not enough to milkshake the oil. It was jacked up the same way both times?- Mbrooks420

Rear end water mixed in
So, what actually happened? It’s kinda confusing with the mention of the transfer case. Is your issue just the rear axle? If rusty water didn’t come out, you’re fine. Change the fluid, change it again, and run it.- Mbrooks420

Explorer 98, bad engine start and reaction to gas pedal ?
Fuel pressure is tested with a gauge very similar to a tire pressure gauge. It is tested on the fuel rail on top of the motor.- Mbrooks420

The diagram is correct. You’re firing out of order, which will cause all sorts of issue. You’ve essentially got 2 cylinders out of time which will beat holes in your pistons if you aren’t lucky.- Mbrooks420

Are the circular metal parts that hold the grommets transferable to new bolts or no?
You’ll need a hole for the extractor anyways. Might as well try to work it out with the drill first. Extractors always make me nervous, and I’d consider myself a vet.- Mbrooks420

You’d have to match it up to a known bolt, nut, tap, or find a way to measure its OD.- Mbrooks420

Are the circular metal parts that hold the grommets transferable to new bolts or no?
My point was it might not be big enough. It’s been asked several times what size the bolts are. Without that no one can help you with anything exact.- Mbrooks420

Max size for that is 5/32”, which is a hair under 4mm. The first step is finding the size of your bolts.- Mbrooks420
