Bevelman, I understand that the keypad code is supposed to unlock the doors and let you in the car IF you leave your keys on the starter switch (the 7/8 9/0 combo works without leaving the keys). So I would suggest trying your code with the keys on AND your windows rolled down... Good luck.

The wire in the rearview mirror is from the compass sensor (the little black box behind the mirror), your heading is shown in the Message Center.

Check if it is in DEF position, it turns the AC on always. Also, check if the AC button light is OK.
