Is the one you're eyeing a 2wd or 4x4? I had a Blazer several years ago that was 4x4, and had to replace the tranny. That job was not fun. :( Not saying it'll be the same on the Explorer, but I feel that 4x4's in general are worse than normal 2wd. Worse as in more difficult.

You sir, are my hero! I checked the fuse box under the dash again, and lo and behold there was no fuse in the number 7 spot. I popped in a 30amp to check it, and there it is, it's working now. As for the radio, I think that might just be because the radio is a craptastic wal mart issue...

Yeah I checked the fuses under the hood, they all seem to be fine.

Sorry, I should have added that all the fuses have been checked and rechecked several times. This has got me rather confused.
