The cost differential is most probably a function of economies of scale. More '95 rims on the street than '98s. The tooling investment on the 95s has been paid off for quite some time vs. the '98s

This may be a dumb question, but did you have to get an alignment after lowering the front?
If so, how did it go and did you need any special shims?
