Can't get 12v outlets to shut off

I'm beating my head against the wall. I have a 2015 PIU and I cannot get the 12v outlets to shut off. I've tried using forscan. I've tried the coding I've seen but I might be doing it wrong. Has anyone else had this problem? It's making me wonder if the department rewired them hot.

    Power outlet question

So I was hardwiring my dashcam and was using this little current tester thing that just lights up on contact. Was toying around to see if it was grounded and poped in the cigarette lighter/12v/AC outlet where I charge my phone, and POP!... Now it doesn't work. I have a civilian console...

How to: Adding OEM 12V outlets to your post-aftermarket equipment FPIU (and fixing your horn)

It took me about ten to fifteen hours to figure these two things out on my own, since there isn’t a ton of info out there yet about undoing police modifications (whereas on a car like the CVPI so many have been purchased after decommissioning that info is relatively easy to find). I hope this...

I have a 12v connector / USB on the cigarette lighter that is by the dash. This is the one where both the AUX and USB ports are located directly in front of the shifter. Whenever I turn my vehicle off, this outlet is still providing power. The lighter inside the armrest doesn't do this. Is there...

    12V Power Outlet Not Working

The 12V power outlet located in the radio bezel of my 2002 Ranger XLT has quit working. I have replaced the in-dash unit and checked all the fuses I can find. No luck. Any ideas?

How I got accessory power without tapping into the fuse box.

I must start by saying this worked on my 2011 Explorer Limited but it is up to you to verify any circuit before splicing into it. Sorry for all the links but I'm not sure how to post photos. First you need to locate the gray harness plug located directly beneath the fuse box on the drivers...

    01' Explorer Accessory Wiring

I have a Sub box in the back of my explorer, and it has a 12v terminal for LED lights. But I have no idea where to even start when it comes to wiring. I do have an after market stereo and have an amp wired to the subs. If anyone can help me first find an accessory wire to tap into, then actually...

need always on 12v wire near interior lights

Hi, I installed a gps tracker in the interior light unit in the front. Works fine, but now I receive low battery warnings from this device. My guess is that my Explorer is trying to outsmart me by switching of the interior lights automatically after a couple of hours. 1. Is there a way to...
