    Putting a 5r55e out of 99' Ranger into my SOHC Explorer

    Alright, so I have a 1999 Explorer 4x4 4.0 SOHC. It does have a 5r55e tranny, but it needs a new one. I have a tranny out of a 1999 Ford Ranger 4.0 4x4, not a SOHC though. It is a 5r55e. I was told that the bolt pattern was different, is this true? Would really like to get this truck back on the...
