Hey,

my friend with a 94' EB 4X4 4.0L, and probably 3.73 gears is trying to decide between 30"s and 31"s? how much of a difference is there between the two in 0-60time? (i like to use 0-60times cause it's a fairly standard way for me to compare).

thanks,
bigmac

PS: if he doesn't have a lift, and doesn't ever disco the sway bars, will he rub with 31"s offroad?

PSS: would high performance swaybars limit his flex compared to stock sway bars?

He should be okay with tire clearance... Most explorers can handle a 31's stock, but there are a few who rub. As for the 0-60, there will be very lil difference. The average person won't know the difference. As for the hi-perf sway bars...it would only make sence to me, that they'd limit flex alot more, because that is what they're made to do....
Just my thoughts
Pete

yeah what pete said sounds right... i have a 1994 and had 31s stock and they fit with a little rub and the plastic fenderwell needed to be trimmed..... but since my accident it rubs a lot more on the left and never on the right and i have shackles with plans of a 1" body lift and front coil spacers...... i went from stock 28.8s-31 and didnt notice a performance change... i have 3.73s and an automatic

jim, i think it's really cool that you decided to keep your explorer after the accident. most people would get rid of it or part it out because they dont want to be bothered by it.

you said it rubs on one side but not the other... why is that? is something bent or misaligned?
