Hello there!

I have 2000.05 my SportTrac with 4.0 SOHC engine and 5R55E transmission.
problem is that passenger side O2 (after cat) sensor connector is dangling, and I cannot seem to find where it plugs in. are there pictures somewhere - on all the connector locations ?

also there is a problem with transmission, but that probably is another thread. Throws out OD light when warm, not shifting up and P0733 code. any ideas ?

sorry. if this has been answered before, just looking for tips.

the ratio of the third gear in the vehicle’s transmission is wrong according to the PMC
Check for Low transmission fluid
Shift solenoid

Can high fluid level be the cause? I might have overfilled it a bit.

over fill is bad can cause problems also. Put a hose down the dip stick tube and pump the excess fluid out. Use a suction pump you should be able to get one at a auto supply store or borrow one from a friendly mechanic.

so the full story is that I got the car without reverse. suspected blown VB gasked, so ordered that one up and replaced. when removed oil sump, found a metal piece from band adjuster (this finger thing that pushes on one side of the band) just laying there - so put that back in place. also reverse servo was misaligned with the belt, which caused no reverse. reverse is back now. and all good there.

so I will try to get the fluid level and see what happens then. also is this jerky engine movement on stop. looks like the car wants to drive, while Im holding the brake pedal, which jerks the car. nothing on this line in the PCM error log. will try to read codes again - and post.

O2 should have a connector just above the front of the transmission tail might not have gotten replaced in the proper place if the transmission was removed. get a good light and small mirror and look around at the top of the transmission rear
