Well I just got back from a Ford Dealiership a little bit ago and within a few weeks Im picking up a V6 4.0 2dr 4wd Explorer Sport.
Now comes the fun part... I get to start thinking about what exactly I want to do. I live in Corpus Christi Texas so one of its main purposes is going to be getting through deep soft sand but I also plan on taking some road trips to hit the reputable trails and perhaps meet up with some of you guys.
So what shall I do??? My first thoughts have been along the lines of 33 inch tires about 11.5 wide or so, 4 to 6 inch suspension lift, brush guard and tail light guards, a good winch and surely many many more appropriate mods.
I want to hear what you guys and gals have to say for the do's and don'ts.. recomendations.. and also good engine performance upgrades that will comphensate for loss of gas milage since this will be a daily cruiser as well.

Black Manik Brush Guard & Tail Light Guards
2 KC HiLiTES - Streetglow Xenon Headlights
K&N Drop in - Flowmaster 50 series Delta Flow Exhaust
Bosch Platnium 4 Spark Plugs - Bosch plug wires
Optima Red Top Battery - 120 Amp Alternator
2 Kicker 15" Solo Barics - 6 sq ft Custom Shaped Box
Kicker XS100 Bass Amp - Kicker ZR360 High Amp
6" Kicker Resolution Component Speakers
6"x9" Kenwood Excelon Dualmag 2-way Speakers
Panasonic CD/DVD Player - 8" Flip-down Screen
2 20" Blue Lava Neons Under the Dash
2 10" Blue Neon installed on the Back Hatch
2 15" & 1 10" Blue Neon Lighting the Box
few other little mods here and there not worth mentioning... just one of those never-ending projects nicknamed Exploder.
