'01 maual trans/t-case swap

Picking up everything needed from a '91 donor ex. Trans, t-case, petals. Has anyone done this write-up?

The pedals from 1st gen won't work. You will need some from 95 Up explorer, or 98 or newer ranger.

Found out more info on donor- 91' Ex sport 2dr. will that affect the swap into a 4dr. xlt? I don't mind having driveshafts made.


Ok, petals from a 95+ Ex, or 98+ Ranger, check..

Will the '91 flywheel/presure plate fit from the '91 donor ex work on the 4.0, or am I also hunting down something in the 2nd gen?

I havent found a write-up on this exact swap, and plan to take plenty of pics for my attempt at a sticky

I do understand that I also have to find the rare computer for a manual, or finding someone who can delete my trans codes from the obd2 (without bricking my ex!)

Luckily this is not my DD & the proper attention can be devoted without being forced with a deadline..
