in regards to trails arount ATL:

well, there are a few up near Dahlonega, GA (up the 400) and some forest service roads.
do a search for Sheep wallow road in google and see a few videos (including some of mine) of that road.. loads of fun, and it's legal because it's an actual road. Also Beasley Knob is more "difficult" type of off road.

Otherwise there are the "illegal" trails that are under power lines. I've found a few of those by using google earth, and seeing the trails from the air, then finding the entrances in person. but as i get older, i no longer want to risk the fines.. :)

and a last resort, because you have to pay for it, is Durhamtown plantation, east of ATL. this is mostly ATV and dirt bike trails, but they do have some new 4x4 trails as well.

Have Fun,
Matt

I'm still going to be trying to get to Durhamtown this spring.

I was hoping to also get to Beasley Knob. I've been before but it wasn't for trail riding.

For those members in Ga. there's a factory tonneau cover on CL with brackets and keys for $150 obo. I can link the ad if needed.

Found it. I go through Bonaire every Wednesday and Thursday evening and can pick it up for anyone interested. Good find Jerry. I don't have a use for one, but will help another member get it if wanted. Just pay the cost of the item and shipping if necessary, or we can meet somewhere when schedules work out. I should be heading to Atlanta in the near future to visit family.

Hahaha, you two are always online.. :)

I'm still in for the Durhamtown ride, have been wanting to check those trails out for a while now.

I am when I'm studying. Things pop up on my email and I take a break from the books, lol. This site keeps my sanity.

Lot more interesting than the books too haha.

Matt - thanks for the info I'll definitely have to look into them. I've been around to a couple of the state forests but I keep running into seasonal roads or fire service roads.
