Two miles from home my spark plug blew out. Today going to install a thread insert. Since I'm planning a extended trip I don't want this happening at a more inconvenient place. Is it a good idea to install inserts in all the cylinders? I can't see the negative side of this idea. Thanks

I wouldn't blow them all out and start over. Most spark plug holes do not fail. Just do a spark plug change, fix the ones you have to, and keep the kit to re-thread in the back of the car.

That's one opinion. Your mileage may vary.

Your probably right. I just didn't want to have to do it in a rest area with bad weather or have to wait it out. It will be a long days drive where I'm going. Thanks for your input.
