02 4x4 not working

First off I am a new member here and would like to say hi.

When i go through the motions of engaging 4x4 high or low on my 02 explorer, absolutely nothing happens.

This is my first 4wd vehicle and im not sure on where to start.

Try using the search feature on the site. Search for "shift motor"
as I think that just might be your problem. Thats just my opinion, others will soon follow

Check out the 4x4 doesn't work thread. It is likely the 4x4 Control Module.
If you have had the battery disconnected, chances are you need to replace the module.
