This is my first post to this forum that I'm hoping to get more info regarding my 02 Eddie Bauer Explorer.
History
Vehicle has 28k miles
Problem
Over the past month I have noticed that at highway speeds 55-65mph that sometimes I feel the vehicle downshifting hard. It's almost like its going in and out of overdrive at highway speeds but the downshift is so hard that everyone riding in the vehicle can feel it. It's almost like a lunge of sorts.
Any particular reason why this may be occuring all of a sudden? No issues at low speeds and 4 x 4 gets engaged without issues.
Problem is isolated to highway speeds.
I have a appt with the dealer to take them for a test drive to see if I can reproduce the issue but wanted more info before my appt.
