ok , everytime i shift from reverse to drive or drive to reverse and press accelerator i hear a CRACK from the center or close to front of truck i thought maybe the U-joints but NO there tight , motor mounts are ok as well , maybe internal ? tranny or transfer case have any of u guys heard this- the flange at the tranny was replaced due to a updated flange before i bought it .. also the a seal on the drivers axel is leaking bad at the differential - maybe fluid is real low now and im hearing a low growel maybe a bad rear - i used to work for ford and Alot of explorers came back for bad rears--- any thoughts thank you

OR just let ford fix it ??

There are problems with the rear differentials that Ford has not been able to fix. There is also an issue with Trannys that were shipped with the wrong fluid causing delayed and harsh engagements, but that happened with 2004 models I believe. There is a recall, you can check to see if yours is covered.

Not sure what this is, but when I am slowing to a stop I hear/feel a low buzzing/growling noise. It's not extremely loud, but if the radio is down low or off I hear it. Doesn't feel like it's coming from the brakes.

BTW-It's a 4X4, so not sure if this matters?

ok found the noise problem -- the pass read bearing is wasted the tire moves like and 1/2 inch in all ways is it easy to change the bearing myself or shall i just bring it to ford - i think it has to be pressed out ....
