I had an aftermarket stereo that had been working fine for several years when all of a sudden, there was no sound coming from any speaker. I thought the head unit had gone bad and was wanting to upgrade to a newer touch screen model. I installed the head unit and still no sound from any speaker. I happened to have some spare speakers and wired one to the new head unit harness and sound did indeed come out, so it's not the head unit. I've checked the fuses under by the driver's side, as well as the fuse under the hood. Could it be the amp is bad? Not sure how to check this or if i can bypass the amp.
I'm pretty basic when it comes to this kind of thing but if someone has any ideas and can dumb it down for me, I would be willing to try.
Thanks for any suggestions.
