I decided to handle replacing the parking brake shoes on a 2002 Explorer Sport and I'm realizing how out of my skills this task is. I was having issues getting the shoes in I finally figured out the parking brake actuator lever was ceased up. I got it to move enough to get it out, I hit it with the angle grinder and a whole lot of liquid wrench, I finally got it moving but then the two pieces came apart. Are these supposed to come apart like that and if not how do I fix them?
