02 explorer XLS 4.0l vin E. What other year 4.0l motors are interchangeable? Mine skipped time and seizes up once it warms up and un seizes when it cools. Just going to put a new motor in it. What other year 4.0l motors will work?

1998-2010 Mustang, Mountaineer, Explorer, Explorer Sport, Explorer Sport Trac.

Block & heads are all the same. Install all external original parts onto the replacement engine.
