Hey there guys. I had an issue with my 02' tonight. After driving about an hour, I parked and shut it off for about 5 minutes, and removed the key. Went to start it back up, all lights, fuel pump, radio etc turned on, but absolutely nothing happened when i turned key further to start it. No clicks etc. Only way I could get it home was to start it with remote start (factory) and insert the key after it was running, then put it forward and shift into drive. Any ideas? Got it home 20min after, starts no problem with key now.

Since you were able to start the vehicle with remote start, that points to the ignition switch itself and any place that the ignition switch wiring is connected to the remote starting (relays or splices).

There was no remote start option when I ordered or '04, I am suspect that it was offered back in '02. Regardless, look for the places I describe.

First off, make sure you don't have this problem. I'm not saying that is it but it is rather simple to check. One of those wires might be related to the starter problem somehow.

Figured it out. The remote starter thinks someone is trying to steal the car, thus not allowing it to crank. All I had to do was hit 'unlock' on the remote starter fob and the key worked fine and fired right up seconds later.
