02 Sport Subwoofer Removal

How do you remove the rear subwoofer in a 02 Explorer Sprt with the audiophile system.

Remove the rear panel from around it. Disconnect the wires from it. Unbolt it. Take it out. Replace with custom made stealth box and larger subwoofer.

There are several nuts holding the sub onto the panel. Its easiest to remove the whole plastic panel like TTG said, then you will be able to see how to get it off.

Took me about 1 hr to figure everything out.
