Hey guys

I am in the process of wiring up some fog lights mounted on a safari light bar. The only thing I have left is hooking and mounting the switch. I would like to remove the center console where the cup holders are and mount on that. How is the mounted? I don't see any screws holding it down. Thanks

Scott

You need to post this in the 2002-2005 forum. You will probably get more feedback.
I have no idea if your 2002 is similair to earlier models.
I have an old '96.:)

According to the top bar (Modified 1995-2001 Explorers Questions related to modified 1995-2001 Explorer, Mountaineer, Ranger and 2002+ Sports (2dr).) I am in the right section.

You are right,sorry.
I still cant help you with your question.
I've never even rode in an Explorer as new as yours.
Maybe I should go test drive one for the heck of it. If you have the SOHC I bet it has plenty of power. Probably better then my V-8.:D

While you are in the right forum. Your truck is nothing like ours as far as interior panels. so he was just trying to help you out, not flame.

Thanks for the kind words. I never took it as a flame. I just gave bad info and got called on it. Certainly not the first time!!;)

No problem, it confused me when I first joined up. I have the SOHC 4.0L V6, has K&N air filter stock.

You make a good point, I'll try posting in the newer section.

Hey Guys

I realize this is a different section but it seems my interior varies alot from the older X's. I am in the process of wiring some fog lights on a safari light bar. Only part left is mounting the switch. How do you remove the center console with the cup holders?

Scott
