As I have been looking through this and other sites, it would appear that I am unable to put any kind of lift on my truck.
My question is though, what is the largest size tire/wheel combination that I can get in there, if in fact I can not lift it at all?

Please, some help on this would be appreciated.

After doing countless searches through this sight, here is what I have found. Some clarification on this would be appreciated.

Current Stock set-up 235/70/r16 = 28.95 inches

suggested in other posts:

265/75/r16 = 31.65 inches
255/70/r16 = 30.1 inches
245/75/r16 = 30.5 inches

Now, from what I read, there could be some rubbing with the 31's. Is this based entirely on the the size of the tire, or would a certain tread brand/pattern effect it more than another?

can anyone give me some clarification on this?
I am considering selling my Expedition and taking my wifes Explorer, and of course, she gets a new vehicle.
But I won't drive her Explorer if it stays looking like a 4 wheel drive MiniVan.
I just want to know if can get get away with the 31 inch tires to get a little beef on the vehicle.

Thanks,

Kevin
