hello all... i"m new to the forum so sorry if i'm not using it correctly. I've got the 3.55 ratio in the truck. Cant find a used carier in my area so I'm gonna do a rebuild. Snatched the diff out and broke it down with the exceptin of the yoke and pinion, bearing felt smooth there and was no leakage. I did notice some chipped rollers on the bearings where the axle shafts lock into the ring carrier. They also have a noticeable amount of wobble to them. I'm no expert on differentials, but my previous experience with bearings leads me to believe that they shouldnt wobble. I know the chips in the rollers means they're bad, but when i press new ones on, should I still see this wobble? And another thing. What are the negative consequences in removing the front diff altogether? This truck is AWD. thanks for the help !!!
