I have a 04 explorer XLT my intermediate servo broke and had transmission rebuilt i put a new alternator and battery and one day i left my house got to red light about a quarter mile away and drive wouldn't work i went to back up and no reverse drove back home using 1, 2, 3 i parked in driveway and left it alone while trying to talk to the repair shop they said i needed another rebuild which was already done 9 months ago so decided to bring to my wherehouse to park it for awhile and battery was dead i jumped it with my other car and to my surprise my explorer drove like nothing was wrong 2 days later it happened again and then i leave it alone awhile and then it works again does anyone have any ideas what is happening it's driving me insane any help would be very appreciative thank you

Sounds like the filter is picking up torque converter debris, clogging, and setting back into the sump whilst parked. Might want to check the fluid level. Have you drained it and dropped the pan? And maybe before that get a good scanner on there and log some drive data, to see what the converter and solenoids are doing.

PS: There are some heavy hitters over in the transmission sub-forum, try posting in there. Add some punctuation too, you know, just for kicks 😁
