Hey all, i have a problem that my dealership(bunch of morons) won't attemp to figure out. I have an 04 xlt that needs a rear outer tie rod. About a yr and a half ago, i got my wheels rotated at a monro muffler. They happened to forget to tighten the lugs on the rear wheel and needless to say on a trip my wheel falls off. Ripped apart everything. After a few weeks of *****ing, they took my explorer back and fixed everything(kinda). Here's my problem. I'm assuming they used used parts to get my truck back and working. I recently went to the ford garage to buy the tie rod arm. Well, my mechanic says it doesn't fit. So my question is, is there a chance that monro would have put another yrs part on my car, and now that i need a new tie rod arm, i need to figure out which yr this would have came from? Does anyone know if other years wheel assembly parts would work on an 04? The ford dealership says its the correct part and won't listen to anything, so i returned the part after that hassle and let them know my business is finished with them
