05 Explorer Keyless entry remote sometimes doesn't work

My remote on my 05 explorer sometimes doesn't work. It happens at least 4 or 5 times per week. It's usually when I just get out of it and attempt to lock the doors. If I wait a minute or two, it works again. I've tried using the other remote and also replacing the batteries in them and still happens. Of course it never happens when I take it to the dealer. Anyone else having this problem?

Pop open the remote and wipe the off the liquid that accumulates under the contact and it should work like new. Mine does this all the time and I have no idea what the liquid is but as soon as I wipe it off it starts working again.

I am still trying to figure out what that liquid is. I had the same problem in the fob for my '05 Escape but not with any other car to date. Only Ford products!
