05 Limited wtih overhead DVD dome light wont come on?

I just today picked up an 05 limited. It has the over head rear dvd console. The dome light that is on the DVD console does not come on when a door is open.

The light has settings for... On, Off and auto.

when I turn the light on it comes on so the bulb is good. When its set to auto it will not come on when door is opened.

Is there something I am missing?

Tried to search the board but did not find anything..

Do the rest of the dome lights come on when you open the door? Does the DVD dome light come on when any of the doors are open?

pretty sure thats an aftermarket unit ford dvd units do not have lights on them.

so who ever installed it never wired that in.

hmm thanks for the input, previous owner said it was factory, but he was a ****** so he is probably wrong
