Hi everyone, longtime lurker and new member here.
I've been having an issue with my Explorer when it rains or after a car wash. The Explorer hesitates when driving, and then loses power intermittently- it will usually do this a few times before dying altogether. It throws a P0190 code and no others, after it dies it will crank but no startup. I have to let it sit for 5-30 minutes and then it will start back up again. It continues to play the hesitate, lose power, restore power, and then die game until I either park it or until the roads dry off. I have no issues with codes or drivability when the roads are dry.

I have checked a few forums and was pointed to the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM), I replaced that and noticed a bit of rust where the FPDM sits so I used a sealant around the seams in the body. The new part didn't really fix the issue, it does however die a lot less violently when this issue pops up. I didn't notice any corrosion anywhere on the connections near the FPDM, nor on any connections around the fuel rail. No fuses are tripped and less that 8k on the new fuel filter.
I'm leaning towards some type of electrical issue because it only pops up when it rains (which it's been doing a lot of that here lately).
I could definitely use some help for you all because I'm not really sure where to go from here.
Thanks,
-Koz

That code is specific to a fuel rail pressure sensor circuit malfunction (hidden under the intake) so I would start by checking the connector on it (the fuel rail pressure sensor) and then tracing the wiring all the way back to the PCM for any nicks and cuts in the wiring that would short out when wet.
