07 sport trac limited v8
I own a 07 v8 sport trac limited and am about to move to the canadian border where its low teens during the day and negatives at night already. I was wondering if these engines are already set up for block heaters or will i need to modify it? I am currently out to sea otherwise I would look.

I still plan on using an oil pan adhesive heater but it would be nice to get all around heat to the engine with a block heater.

thanks,
Murphy

If you know the Vin # type yr number on this website to see if it came from factory....

Thats how I found out if it came from factory...

Interesting link. In the lookup for my 07 Sport Trac, it has a bunch of things listed in the optional equipment that I didn't think mine had, such as heated windshield and the heater in the engine block.

Is this a list of available optional equipment at the time of the sticker being made or is it actually the optional equipment installed on the vehicle at the time of sale? I'm inclined to think the former, as it reads something like this:

STANDARD VEHICLE PRICE: 29540.00

INCLUDED ON THIS VEHICLE
ORDER CODE 240A-LMTD V8 4X4

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
POWER MOONROOF
MINI OVERHEAD CONSOLE
ETC
ETC

I had a block heater installed in my '06 XLS. It was a Ford block heater, I bought the part myself, and they just used one of the soft plugs in the block to install it. I would have done it myself, but never messed with a soft plug before, so it was worth it for me to pay to have it done.

Thank, that's an awesome site! No block heater though :( gonna have to get one put in before next winter. Happy holidays all!
