#12 4x4 fuse?

Does anyone know if I pull out the 4x4 module fuse will it keep the auto 4x4 from kicking in and if so will it damage anything else? I have a clunking or jumping on deceleration and Im wondering if the auto 4x4 is trying to kick in when its not supposed to and I would like to test it by doing this?

well it depends like on my truck if you pull it out it will not give any power to the computer to let it know that i want the 4wd on so i dont think it would depending what kind of 4wd system you have is it the switch kind near your steering wheel?
