Hello, I am having a problem with my explorer. The car will stall out while drifting to a red light, and have to drive sometimes with my foot on the gas and one foot on the brake. Took it to a ford dealer and they did a diagonisic for $350.00, and found the throttle body was bad and leaking air and a bad egr valve. So I had my mechanic replace the throttle body, and am waiting for the egr valve cause it had to be ordered. Changed the fuel pump, filter, pugs, wires, IAC. The truck runs good sometimes, I do not have to drive with both feet and other times I do. Could the vacuum leak at the egr valve be the cause of the problem, or does anyone know where I should turn to next? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.

I would say yes, egr's can cause all sorts of problems, just like what you described. Also I would check your tps, but I would only replace that after you see what the egr does after it gets fixed. I'm not a mechanic but I have read so many that sound exactly the same as yours. don't worry there's alot of smart people on here that can take it more indepth. good luck
