YO! I'm new to this posting stuff, is this what is called a blog? Anyway i'M CONSIDERING REPLACING A TRANSMISSION MODULATOR VALVE ON A 1994 RANGER 4X4.Sounds simple but I've heard it's tougher then it looks. Is this a job for some one with limited time (job 60 hrs. +2 kids&loud wife).Ive heard pull the seat & cut hole, pull tranny and sell truck. I am not scared of work but I do need to keep goin, got my bike for dry days.

Welcome to this forum! You could replace it from the bottom of the vehicle. Be careful not to lose the pin when you remove the vacuum modulator. Some modulators are adjustable if you want to fine tune the shift points.

welcome

hi got your info on my modulator valve, thanks for the help but it was a pain removing sheilds just to get to it, it would be a lot easier if it was on the drivers side and probaly last longer with more mair flow and away from the exhaust.

I have a 94 Ex and the modulator valve was taking fluid in through the vaccum line then the motor was burning it up. AAMCO Transmission charge me like $130.00 to replace it, thats parts and labor. Not to bad in my opinion.
