1994 v6 3.0 ranger HELP!!!!

Hey how's it going? I'm new to the forum. But I have a problem with my Ranger. Its falling on its face when I excel and getting really poor gas mileage. I've gutted the cat. New maf new ICs no vacuum leaks. The only thing I have left to do is O2 sensors. My uncel said he took his out but it a Toyota. So my question is will bad o2 really effect they way my truck is driving? Please help I've dumped about $600 in it now and kind of scared to do something that will not help.

How old is your fuel filter? When was the last time you changed:
Cap & Rotor
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires

First step, is the CEL on?

Do not remove your o2 sensor. LOL
And yes bad o2 sensors will make your truck run like crap.

No the cel light isn't on. I think someone took the bulb out. And I've replaced the fuel filter and everything. I guess I'll buy the sensors tomorrow. I 1st thought that wuz the problem but silly me I bought all the other stuff besides that. And does anyone know if they are 12in or 17? And doese that really mater? Thanks everyone.

Oyeah its not throwing a code on my obd1. New plugs and wires. But plugs are showing singes of rich fuel mixtures.

When you run the code test do you at least get the 3 blinks to verify it's working?

Sounds like a blown head gasket or cracked head, but your best bet is to start a new thread with your question.
