My cruise control konked out last weekend.
No other issues noted with my van when it stopped working. Before I go and start digging into the problem I was wondering if there is some common or consistant failure points I should look at.
My van is a '97 with a 3.0L engine, cargo.

The cruise control worked one minute then just stopped functioning. I'm hoping it is something fairly simple.

Thanks-Scott
p.s. my van turned 225000 a couple weeks ago as well! :) I can't afford a new car right now so I really want to keep this thing running for another couple years.

The clock springs for the cruise control have a habit of breaking. Takes about an hour to change it. If your horn no longer works, you probably need to replace the clock spring assembly.

Fuse is good. Horn works. Not sure of the issue yet. Ran into steering issues.
