Ok. Just finished replacing my cylinder heads (due to cracked valve bridges on the combustion chamber side and it sucking in lots of coolant suddenly). Got everything back together and missed a loose coolant hose (whoops). I now have to remove my fuel injectors and replace the o-rings because I have Niagara falls coming down on the driver side valve cover. Any tips or suggestions on getting the injectors out to replace the o-rings? And in which order should they be re-installed, injectors into the rail first or into the intake first? The Haynes manual says gentle rocking back and fourth but that gets me absolutely nowhere. Thanks in advance.

Just a hard yank will pull them out. I don't remeber which order I put them in, but it was easy.

I just did a lower intake manifold on mine and removed my injectors to get the manifold machined. I found the injectors in the plenum first was easiest. Start at one end and keep working the injectors in to place.

Well, the job is complete and the explorer lives again. Doing the injector o-rings isn't really that bad.

Congratulations!
Its really not that tough afterall.
I have one small coolant seep on the intake manifold on the passenger side.
I can't tell where its coming from. Im guessing that its because I was lazy and didnt wrap the two sensors in teflon tape before re-installing them(I had to remove them since I took the lower intake to the machine shop for resurfacing.

I can't see where else it would be coming from. Its just a seep. piss me off. The up side is, its not a big deal to pull the sensor and re-install.

I had a seep too, but from the hose that comes out of the thermostat that goes into the heater core control. I forgot to tighten a hose clamp, whoops. Taken care of now. Just re-charged the AC, we are good to go.
