I have a question about this headlight adjuster. I have the lights out on the right side of the vehicle to properly repair some severed wires going to the airbag sensor. The previous owner hit a deer that wasn't abiding by the deer crossing signs. Darn deer. The RH headlamp and turn signal/running light was damaged and apparently the airbag and anti-lock brake sensor wiring. Maybe it was cut by the PO that installed the replacement lights during the "repair". It was nice of them to use heat shrink tubing on the wire splices however, they didn't solder the wires. I've been having intermittent air bag issues with a code popping up for the RH front sensor.
The question about the adjuster is, is this adjusting stem supposed to be straight? I think it got bent in the encounter? It won't adjust either.
Does anyone have a broken '95 to '01? busted header with a good adjuster in it? I don't know if RH and LH are the same or mirror images of each other, but I need a right hand (passenger side) adjuster.
Picture below, I'm pointing at the bent part of the adjusting stem.

after hooking the battery back up I'm getting a 42 code...

I swapped left hand airbag crash sensors between our blue '97 and our white '97. I know that the blue sensor was good. I plugged it into the white truck harness, left it hanging, hooked up the battery and got a Code 45: For incorrectly mounted left radiator crash sensor. Then I attached it and still got a code 42. I know that the sensor that I put on is good so I must have an open short in one of 3 wires that on the left side that I soldered, and heat shrunk. The battery and maybe tray will have to come out to get a better look. The clear Euro style lights look ok but fit terrible. One of the 3 important attachment points won't even connect to the fiberglass header properly. I may can use zip ties to secure it and hopefully lined up too. Something that when I started working on it would be simple, but it took up a good part of the day and is not all the way back together and I had the grille out to get to the sensor. Also now the blue truck posts a code 42 with the white sensor installed. The sensor was bad in addition to an open short.
