Ok gang I have gotten good advice here and looking for some more. On the way to work this morning i attempted to click the seatbelt in which i discovered that the clip would not go all the way in. The Release button on the seatbelt clip also would not push that far in. So any thoughts I am thinking that within the receiving unit that there are some springs or something bent inside. I did loan it last night to my teenager so i am sure it was working fine then. or am i looking at just having to spray some type of lubricant into the buckling unit? I know it has a censor in it so i have to be cautious on what is used.

They typically wear out, lots of them wear where (ouch for english) the button is loose, and won't stay latched as well.

Best bet is to grab one at the junkyard, or from one of our used parts vendors.

I've heard of coins finding their way in there.

+1 for Joe Dirt and rego.
Check for coin, cig butt, trojan package, etc first, since teenager use it. Replaced mine last year; spring in latch broke. Got one from JY; search for threads on this forum with instructions for removing/replacing; not difficult but requires a torex and some 1/2 tools. Don't worry about color, you can reuse your plastic cover.
