If I had an upstream X-pipe, that would be good for me to do too. My MM 5.0 exhaust streams don't converge until way back at the stock
muffler where the left and right exhaust pipes go pair into the back cat and come out one at the tail end of the muffler. That would be way too
far back for the WB placement.
The last item that I was dealing with in February was a driver's side exhaust leak and fixed it. I had a passenger side leak and worked on it too and made it some better, but there is still a small leak on that side.
I've come back to my thread here to see where I was at in February. The MM was holding up progress on other jobs having the only lift occupied.
I have been gathering tools and supplies to test the O2 sensors, the reused old ones and the new ones. So, I have about a 2 workday session dealing with the right-side leak and double checking the function of the O2 sensors. Then I have a separate on the ground, work session removing the upper plenum for the 5th time I think, to access the passenger side (US) coil connectors to replace the pins in the connectors that I had trouble with from the beginning. I only have enough to re-do the rh side. So, a 6th upper plenum removal will need to happen to fix the driver's side. Currently the only code posting is #4 ignition circuit but #7 has posted previously too but not currently.
But the main hold up for that is I need a new tip for the fairly new Weller soldering iron. It's always something!
"Piece at a time"...
ADDED 2 minutes later: Oh yeah, there is the OD issue to diagnose after this.
