1998 column key question

.......about changing the cyl. lock on the column to match door key. Somewhere down the road, the keys where changed. I want to get a matching set from a donar Expl. So, if I change that cyl., my security systems ( PATS ) won't work ....is what I'm thinking, right? What would have to be pulled from the donar Expl. to make it work?????

Another thought - you could have a locksmith rekey the door cylinders to match the existing ignition key. Really only have to do driver's door.

you need the PATS modual behind the pass. air bag, there is also a plastic ring around the ignition key that you will need, and i do believe you need the computer that is under the hood.
