1998 mounty 5.0 awd power lock problems

hi,im new here and was wondering if i can get sum help got a 1998 mountaineer 5.0 awd..well i was wiring up a new stereo system had front driver door panel off put new speaker in as i was puttin panel back on i started hearing clickin in all the doors like the power locks are goin off and on real fast it wont stop i had to pull fuse #18 to get it to stop..any ideas? thanks

Thats odd. Could try disconnecting the battery to reset the computer to see if it fixes it.

hey,i already tryed disconnecting battery itryed that right away it stops it until i unlock or lock the door then it does it again.well i found on a mercury forum sum1 had exact prob he took to shop and they replaced 2 power door lock relays and that solved it...thanks for the reply anyways:

yeah that sounds like a relay problem. good luck fixing it

you probably f..... the lock switch / connector on the panel that you took off. Take a look at the wiring leaving that switch.
