Dealing with a P0401 code, EGR flow insufficient.
I applied vacuum to the EGR Valve and the engine stuttered so assumed that it was OK. I wanted to check the gas flow prior to messing with the DPFE. I saw somewhere that the electric vacuum regulator diaphragm could be depressed manually. The problem is that I cannot get the cap off without destroying it. Any ideas on this?
If the ERV is OK then maybe check electrical continuity except my multi meter went belly up. Any help on this P041 code would be appreciated. This one of the last two items holding my registration back. I would rather not pay another $30 for a 21 day trip permit.
