1999 Explorer Check engine light

Last weekend I replaced the muffler and tail pipe.
This weekend I replaced the front wheel bearings hubs.
On Saturday the check engine light came on.
I disconnected the battery and got rid of it but today it came back on while I was on the highway.
Any suggestions on what it could be?

OK went to Autozone and they hooked me up to a code reader.
One code # P0442
They reset the light for me, so what now?
Any suggestions?

I was in an Advance Auto Parts store in Schenectady NY today.A cute young girl came in and asked the store counter person to scan her car for codes out in the parking lot.He advised her that it was now company policy that employees no longer can provide this service.He handed her the hand held scanner and gave her a 30 second tutorial on how to use it herself.She obviously did'nt get it as she had the 'deer in the headlights" look on her face.
After she went outside the counter guy said that corporate did'nt want the potential liability that could arise from employees scanning and clearing codes for customers.
